Does your dog have difficulty keeping their legs under them when they are walking on slippery floors, but seem ok when on rugs or grass? If you have a geriatric dog or a dog that suffers from any neurological disorder, ToeGrips can be a fix for slipping on slick surfaces. ToeGrips by Dr.Buzby are a must have if you have runners throughout your house so your dog can move around comfortably. They will seriously improve the quality of your dog's life.
What are ToeGrips?
ToeGrips are small rings that fit over the nails of your dog. The rings only need to be replaced when they fall off, which on average will be monthly.
The grips increase the surface area of your dog's nail and allows them to stick to slick walking surfaces. The GripZone allows your dog's nail to touch the floor with every step, without altering their gate.
ToeGrips are ok to be used in indoor and outdoor settings. Which means you can apply them and then forget about them. ToeGrips come in sizes from XS to XXXL, so any sized dog can have the opportunity to try them out.
Who can benefit from ToeGrips?
Senior dogs
Arthritic dogs
Dogs with hip dysplasia
Dogs with a cruciate ligament injury
Dogs with hind end weakness
Blind dogs
Dogs with iliopsoas strain
Tripawd® dogs
Dogs that use wheelchairs
Dogs with IVDD
Rehabilitating / post-surgical dogs
Application is very easy! The website has a great video showing the process. Put the ToeGrips in a bowl of isopropyl alcohol (you can get this at any human drug store). Then place the ToeGrip onto each nail (you do not need to put one on the dew claw), push up on the bottom of the ToeGrip only high enough that it won't fall off but will still come in contact with the ground. It is important to make sure that the top of the ToeGrip does not touch the nail bed.
A few things to keep in mild when purchasing ToeGrips: Depending on the shape of your dog's nails, it may be helpful to glue the ToeGrips onto their nails, but not always necessary. When purchasing ToeGrips you will need to measure the circumference of your dog's nails, make sure you measure their front and back toes because they may need different sizes,
